The short answer
Implant-supported dentures (overdentures) snap onto two to four dental implants so they stay put while you eat and talk, yet still come out for cleaning. They cost less than a fixed full arch and are a strong upgrade for anyone frustrated with a loose lower denture.

Snap-on vs. fixed: which is right for you?
Snap-on overdentures and fixed All-on-4® both use implants, but they solve different problems. Overdentures are removable, need fewer implants, and are generally more budget friendly. Fixed full-arch bridges never come out and feel the most like natural teeth. Many patients start with an overdenture and upgrade later.
Caring for implant dentures
Remove and brush your denture daily, clean around the implant attachments, and replace the small nylon inserts about once a year so the snap stays tight. We check everything at your regular maintenance visits.

Implant Dentures (Snap-On) FAQs
Can my existing denture be converted?
If it fits well and is in good shape, it can often be retrofitted with attachments. Otherwise, we make a new denture designed for implants.
Do I sleep with implant dentures in?
We recommend removing them at night to give your gums a rest and keep everything clean.
How many implants do I need?
Two implants are often enough for a lower denture; uppers usually need four. Your 3D scan confirms the right number.
Will it cover the roof of my mouth?
With enough implant support, an upper overdenture can often be designed with an open palate.
How long do the attachments last?
The nylon inserts wear gradually and are inexpensive to replace, usually about once a year.
