Teeth in a Day refers to timing — you get teeth the same day as surgery. All-on-4 refers to a technique — four implants supporting a full arch. Many Teeth in a Day cases use All-on-4, but not always. At your consultation we recommend the right combination for your case.
The teeth attached on the day of surgery are a high-quality fixed temporary that you will wear during the healing period (3-6 months). Once your implants fully integrate with the bone, we attach your final, custom-designed permanent set.
You will start with soft foods that evening. Within a few weeks most patients are eating most normal foods. After your final permanent teeth are placed, you can eat virtually anything.
Most patients report the recovery is milder than they expected — much easier than dental extractions alone, because the implants stabilize the jaw immediately. You will have a prescription for any discomfort, and most only need it for a day or two.
Usually 3 to 5 hours per arch, depending on whether extractions are needed. With sedation, most patients say it felt like a single nap.
